In Mr. Millers Math II Honors class we were paired up with other students at our tables to make a power point presentation about how to create different types of polynomials. We also had to figure out which windows we should use on a calculator to create the polynomials. This project involved planning and communication with the rest of the people in my group. We each took a specific role in the project and in the presentation. To the left is the file of the presentation we created.

Towards the end of the year for U.S. history my teacher had us find an article of an event that had occurred in the last one hundred years. I chose an article about the president of the Boy Scouts of America and how he was pushing to ban gay adult leaders. I connected this event to the civil rights movement and how in America we were looking for ways to ban people of color from doing simple everyday tasks. I felt that this presentation was an appropriate form of effective communication because I was informing my peers that this event is important and should not be ignored. I presented in front of my class and voiced my opinion and by the end my class was entranced by my effective communication.

Mrs. Freestone is a person who enjoys having us communicate effectively and critically. In November of 2015 she had our class create reviews on anything we wanted to do. I did mine on a restaurant named Sole Mio. In my review I use my communication skills to persuade the reader to want to go eat at this restaurant. I highlighted my favorite dish and talked about how one would be comfortable in this restaurant. This is a for of effective communication because I am telling my readers that this restaurant is one that they should visit and will enjoy their time there.
